Following this bite-sized programme in being mindful by Rohan Narse will take you on the path of least resistance to produce results. You’ll find this an experiential quest into mindfulness where you can try a few things out for yourself and return to again and again whenever you feel the need.  Just watching and listening to Rohan infuses a sense of calmness and serenity; so whether you’re at your desk or on the commute home, you’ll leave with a newfound sense of stillness in an altogether better state of mind.

This is particularly the case with the meditations which are split into short (3 mins), a bit longer (12 mins), and in-depth (20 mins) so you can choose a length to suit you.

This is an experiential programme, focused on enabling many a moment of freedom from the discursive nature of the mind and engaging in conscious action from that state. It is artfully structured using a number of eastern and western methods of meditation.

The vast array of problems we face as human beings require the best people to step up. But many hold back because they feel that luck, rather than ability, lies behind their successes. They dread that one day, some person or event will expose them for the fraud that deep down they believe themselves to be. Far from being a realistic self-assessment, the impostor syndrome mind-trap prevents people from believing in themselves, to the detriment of us all.

Ever felt like a fraud? Had that nagging feeling that you’ll be found out, or are you waiting to feel more confident before you realise your plans or your goals? In this interactive session, delivered as 1.5 hour workshop (and can also be run for a longer durations if required), we’ll dive into uncovering the keys to confidence and overcoming imposter syndrome. You will uncover what drives you, learn how to identify, challenge and replace unhelpful limiting thoughts and beliefs and be introduced to the concept of imposter syndrome. You’ll come away with new strategies, tools and an action plan and uncover an altogether more confident you.

In a 1.5 hour session we’ll cover:

  • Introduction to the session and a definition of imposter syndrome, with an explanation of the difference between a healthy self-image and imposter syndrome.
  • An ice breaker focused on building confidence and relaxing into the session so everyone feels comfortable
  • Imposter Syndrome – a self assessment quiz and group discussion
  • Sharing examples of imposter syndrome – TEDx video and discussion or, if possible, we encourage senior staff from the organisation to share their personal experience of imposter syndrome including some questions and answers
  • Building on the pre-work we’ve done, you’ll be introduced to the unconscious inner divers that could be fuelling your imposter syndrome
  • Learn how to identify, challenge, and replace unhelpful thoughts and beliefs

About Justine Clement

Founder of The Happy Prize Company and Breathwork coach, Justine was born curious and adventurous. She’s spent the last 15 years exploring ways to live and feel better through ashtanga yoga, kinesiology, Celtic shamanism and mythology, psychotherapy, plant communication and mindfulness, to name a few. For many years, she was a self-confessed ‘on-the-go’ CEO and no words of warning from others about the importance of slowing down, could stop her. She only really listened after a series of injuries forced her to stop. Her slow recovery invited her to start learning how to ‘be’ as well as ‘do’.

Why book Pause?

You’ll all leave with more vitality, feeling far more relaxed, less stressed and importantly, equipped with tools to maintain it all after the day. You’ll be guided by two experts in their field through explorative movement situations, tuning deeply into your physical, emotional and personal self via your breath, and feel comfortable getting curious about what you can do with your body. Not only that, you’ll also learn how to connect more deeply with nature (and therefore yourself) and each other, whilst spending some important downtime in our location’s wonderful outdoor wood-fired hot tubs and sauna.

Somatic Movement

Gentle movements, performed with intention and at a very slow pace. The goal of this is to shift our attention from the external appearance of a pose or posture, to the internal felt experience of the movement. Through shifting our attention from output to experience, we notice how tension, stress and worry softens, and we learn more sustainable ways of living in our bodies.

Conscious Connected Breathwork

Conscious breathing is a gentle, simple technique that helps you to open up the full potential of your breathing system for better physical and emotional well-being. It’s been demonstrated to have many benefits, including increased energy, better immune response and increased ability to deal with stress in a healthy way. In the session Justine will give a short intro and you’ll lie on your back, with the whole group breathing together.

Nature Connection

We’ll immerse ourselves in the healing properties of nature. By exploring the four elements of water, wood, earth and sky, we reconnect to our own organic nature, and discover how these elements support us in our daily lives. Research shows that connecting to organic elements can elevate mood, reduce feelings of isolation, promote calm and decrease inflammation.


Overview:

Wood-fired hot tubs and sauna

The bathing space at our beautiful location invites you to relax in red cedar, wood-fired hot tubs and saunas which are situated outdoors. Whilst your body regenerates and detoxifies immersed in hot water, you are also exposed to daylight, your lungs are filled with fresh, clean air and your eyes rest upon natural, green spaces. The benefits can be felt all year round – whatever the weather.

Lunch

Food can be purchased at the Hilltop Bistro onsite where they serve wholesome, homemade food made using locally sourced ingredients. They also make their own cakes and support local bakers who supply their creations for you to enjoy.  The bistro use seasonal vegetables as much as possible which means that their menu changes regularly.

When: Pause is bookable for private groups of up to 8 on Thursdays to Sundays throughout the year, subject to availability.

Where: Just outside Cambridge – although we can research other possible venues if this doesn’t work for you.

Breathwork results in certain specific physiological changes in the body and also can result in intense physical and emotional release. Therefore, for safety purposes, we do not allow persons with the following conditions to participate in a breathwork session: Epilepsy, detached retina, Glaucoma, prior strokes or seizures, pregnancy – first trimester only – ok after that, asthma (if you have asthma you can participate but you must have your inhaler available), prior diagnosis by a health professional of bipolar disorder or schizophrenia, psychotic or borderline psychotic states, any other medical, psychiatric or physical conditions which would impair or affect ability to engage in any activities that involve intense physical and/or emotional release.

Presenter Dr Shomit Mitter

Shomit comes from an intellectual perspective, with a M.Phil from Oxford University and a Ph.D from Cambridge University. He trained as a hypnotherapist under Dr. Keith Hearne and Dr. Roger Woolger, and has spent 30 years studying ancient Indian, Chinese, Egyptian and Shamanic systems of healing. Much of his work over the years has involved an amalgamation of these systems with cutting edge modern western hypnotherapy. The results are both powerful and easy to use.
