RESET RETREAT MAY HILL
THE GATEWAY TO A DEEPER CONNECTION

The Reset Retreat at May Hill provides a gateway to deeper connection – to yourself, to nature, and to your colleagues. What you’ll learn in these precious hours can be used to inform your decision-making at work as well as at home and enable you to more easily access your intuition wherever you are.

Your team will spend 24 hours in Danny’s company as he shares the timeless wisdom gained during forty years spent living and working among indigenous tribespeople. You will experience what it feels like to reconnect with your instinctual self by dissolving the separation between you and nature and explore a deeper, more physical way of feeling and connecting with the world.

What to expect

The environment is not separate from ourselves;
we are inside it and it is inside us; we make it and it makes us.”

Davi Kopenawa, Yanomami tribesman

Arrival

You’ll arrive to a beautifully restored farmhouse in Gloucestershire, at the foot of May Hill, where you’ll be made to feel at home and well-cared for in every sense. We travel from from here, on foot, to the beautiful woodland and wild and open grassland of May Hill, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, with its spectacular views and natural green cathedral.

Schedule

Arrive at May Hill Farm at 11.30am, where you’re invited for a delicious, locally-sourced lunch. You can either arrange your own travel independently, or we can arrange this for you. Danny will provide compelling insights, based on the wisdom of the indigenous people of Sinai and Kalahari, that underpin the purpose of this retreat.

After lunch, we’ll walk for a mile and half to our basecamp. Along the way, you’ll understand the orientation of the energy field, and the impacts of the way we live today on our ability to feel and connect with it.

You’ll spend the night sleeping under the stars in comfort, held by the beauty of the ancient woodland. Ideally, we recommend an overnight fast (no eating from lunch to breakfast the following morning). Our experience has shown that this is the best way to gain clarity in both mind and body. This is optional and we will support you if you choose note to take part.

At dawn, we’ll make our way to the top of May Hill to celebrate the expansion that is possible when we dissolve our separation from nature.

We’ll break the fast with a vegetarian breakfast by the fire back at May Hill Farm. Here, there will be the opportunity to discuss the experience and explore the everyday ways in which we can use what we’ve learned to tune in and reconnect to our environment in our every day lives.

Presenter Danny Shmulevitch

Danny’s search for stillness began as a young child growing up in the Sinai desert. He lived with the semi-nomadic Sawad tribe near his family home in Galilee; his formative years spent sleeping fireside under the stars - free from the physical and human confines most of us accept as our reality. For over two decades, Danny worked with the Bedouin tribes to lead retreats and longer journeys in the Sinai desert. They were attended by ecological and spiritual leaders and other people who came to witness how we expand when we connect deeply with ourselves in nature. He set up the The Makhad Trust in 2002 to support the preservation of the natural heritage of the Bedouin and other nomadic communities of the world. He also led the restoration of oasis gardens throughout the Sinai region and built community wells, as well as a school. In the remote Amdo region of Tibet, he worked with indigenous communities to restore the murals in the Lukhang garden, built by Dalai Lama VI in the 17th century, and the Mani Walls near the Terton Chogar Monastery.
