Work, Rest & Play Nutrition & Gut Makeover – corporate programme
This progressive programme is based on cutting-edge nutritional science, focusing on preventing illness & encouraging a high rate of adoption. It’s designed to:
Work
Here we focus on eating to be energised throughout the working day, building resilience, managing weight, and avoiding burn out.
Rest
Here we look at reducing hidden stimulants in the diet, and getting the right nutrients every day to make sleep hormones. We explain the importance of relaxation when eating to improve absorption of nutrients to boost the immune system, and prevent falling ill.
Play
This is all about the fun areas. If you eat cakes, which ones are better choices and why? If you take just one supplement, which one, and in which form? What can you eat to reduce the risk of coughs and colds? There is also a section on the new field of nutrigenetics and how genetic information can be used to tweak your diet, to reduce risk of switching on genes connected with major illnesses which may run in your family.
This programme includes:
Initial consultation
3 x 1 hour talks
A personal booklet to accompany each talk to keep and refer to
Easy food preparation and demonstrations
Healthy food/snack giveaways as gifts
DNA testing, and one-to-one genetic nutrition consultations and reports*
* Designing an individualised diet to an employee’s DNA is a new method used to reduce risk of switching on genes associated with familial illnesses.

Equine Guided Leadership Development is a unique and powerful way of learning that involves leading horses on the ground through a variety of exercises to gain direct feedback on your leadership style. It’s an experiential-based learning program where you embody your leadership skills, resulting in sustainable behavioural change. You learn your personal impact, both individually and within a team.
No riding is involved and no experience of horses is required. The focus is on leadership skills that can only be learned experientially. You get direct feedback on your leadership impact by how the horse responds moment by moment which will give you the opportunity to recalibrate until you get the results you want.
Horses mirror your non-verbal communication so you quickly identify the impact of your leadership, explore how to use emotional intelligence with instant feedback and recalibrate to get results. This profound way of learning creates fast results that are repeatable back in every day situations.
We work with horses because they have been proven to:
Previous clients have reported an increase in confidence, gained clarity on key challenges and overcome barriers to success that were previously holding them back.
You’ll also:
As well as:
“I am now more interested in achieving collective results rather than individual success. I have more empathy now, not only with the rest of the team but with others in general.” Jorge Ribeiro, Head of IT Infrastructure, Telefonica
“Jude is the secret weapon called upon by major global brands to help them address hidden leadership issues that are limiting vision, stifling productivity, and damaging trust and team effectiveness.”
£6025 total for the day which is based on up to 8 people attending. This includes all preparation for your individual leadership team needs as well as including a copy of Jude’s book per person, photos from the day and a follow on 15mins coaching per person. Excludes travel to the location.
Contact us to book and discuss your requirements. We can bespoke each workshop to your organisational needs, values and vision.
Discover the transformative power of somatic movement & conscious connected breath.
Immerse yourself in a rejuvenating experience that will leave you feeling grounded, centred, and deeply connected to your body and breath.
Breathwork coach and Life Adventure founder, Justine Clement, has teamed up with the incredible somatic movement coach, Shaun Brooking, to launch a brand-new 1-day retreat in the stunning Cambridgeshire countryside, specifically for teams from B Corp organisations. This mind and body-blowing experience will take place in, and beside, nature, where you’ll feel more relaxed, more expansive, more creative. It’s an experience where you’ll come away having connected more deeply to your body, to your breath and to members of your team.
Why?
We so often get caught up in the busyness of life, it can be difficult for us to slow down, step back and move forward in a better way. It’s only when we learn this skill that we’re able to fully reset, recover and recalibrate. Instead of a simple respite from the daily grind, this reset day has been carefully designed to empower you with the tools you need to reconnect to your natural internal rhythm. It’s an opportunity for every member of the team to rebalance and return to life and work with renewed energy. It’s also a gentle, yet expansive learning experience too, where you’ll each discover ways of replenishing your energy stores through the power of movement, breath and reflection. But this day is not just about nice-to-have-wellbeing tools. It’s about helping each member of the team create greater impact as a B Corp organisation. It will help to improve team cohesion, so you go back to work not only feeling better, but working better, more effectively, with greater productivity and enhanced performance.
3 key objectives
EXPLORE your surroundings and connect to nature, with an immersive learning experience on the benefits of nature connection
REVIVE your body and mind, by releasing unwanted stress, strain and tension
ENGAGE with others through restorative connection, by sharing as much or as little as you like
Somatic Movement
Gentle movements, performed with intention and at a very slow pace. The goal of this is to shift our attention from the external appearance of a pose or posture, to the internal felt experience of the movement. Through shifting our attention from output to experience, we notice how tension, stress and worry softens, and we learn more sustainable ways of living in our bodies.
Conscious Connected Breathwork
Conscious breathing is a gentle, simple technique that helps you to open up the full potential of your breathing system for better physical and emotional well-being. It’s been demonstrated to have many benefits, including increased energy, better immune response and increased ability to deal with stress in a healthy way. In the session Justine will give a short intro and you’ll lie on your back, with the whole group breathing together.
Nature Connection
We’ll immerse ourselves in the healing properties of nature. By exploring the four elements of water, wood, earth and sky, we reconnect to our own organic nature, and discover how these elements support us in our daily lives. Research shows that connecting to organic elements can elevate mood, reduce feelings of isolation, promote calm and decrease inflammation.
Wood-fired hot tubs and sauna
The bathing space at our beautiful location invites you to relax in red cedar, wood-fired hot tubs and saunas which are situated outdoors. Whilst your body regenerates and detoxifies immersed in hot water, you are also exposed to daylight, your lungs are filled with fresh, clean air and your eyes rest upon natural, green spaces. The benefits can be felt all year round – whatever the weather.
Why choose this?
The whole team will leave with more vitality, feeling far more relaxed, less stressed and importantly, equipped with tools to maintain it all after the day. You’ll be guided by two experts in their field through explorative movement situations, tuning deeply into your physical, emotional and personal self via your breath, and feel comfortable getting curious about what you can do with your body. Not only that, you’ll also learn how to connect more deeply with nature (and therefore yourself) and other members of the team whilst spending some important downtime in our location’s wonderful outdoor wood-fired hot tubs and sauna.

About Shaun Brooking
Shaun is a coach, mover, thinker and educator. In his past life as an athlete, he learnt the hard way – the world of performance and fitness is not about health – burnt out, injured and lost. He’s spent the last 15 plus years figuring out what it means to be in a body and live to his full potential without the cost to his health. He has studied across many fields – neuroscience, physiology, embodiment, movement and spirituality – and integrate these to help people build life-long skills. These skills help you buffer the effects of stress and anxiety, give you the ability to unplug and slow down, and perform in a sustainable way.
About Justine Clement
Founder of The Happy Prize Company and Breathwork coach, Justine was born curious and adventurous. She’s spent the last 15 years exploring ways to live and feel better through ashtanga yoga, kinesiology, Celtic shamanism and mythology, psychotherapy, plant communication and mindfulness, to name a few. For many years, she was a self-confessed ‘on-the-go’ CEO and no words of warning from others about the importance of slowing down, could stop her. She only really listened after a series of injuries forced her to stop. Her slow recovery invited her to start learning how to ‘be’ as well as ‘do’.

It’s been known for millennia that time spent in the forest has an incredible effect on our mind, body and soul. Here you will have the time you need to disconnect from your day-to-day life and let your nervous system feel soothed and rested amongst the wonder and rejuvenating properties of ancient woodland and sacred spaces. This retreat will form part of your life journey, where your body can begin to heal itself and come alive again as you learn tender, deep ways to reconnect with yourself and the natural world in this incredible ancient playground known as the Forest of Dean. You’ll rest your head in a magical retreat centre called ASHA, never before open to public for retreats, until now…
There is magic in the air here. Tolkien was enchanted by the Forest of Dean and inspired to write ‘Lord of the Rings’. J K Rowling spent her youth in this area, too, enriching her imagination. Located on the edge of the forest, the ASHA Centre is a British educational charity and magnificent 500-year-old Georgian home surrounded by five acres of biodynamic gardens. Until now it has been used as an educational retreat centre. It has a warm relaxed feel – a home, rather than a hotel.
It was founded by the human rights campaigner and author, Zerbanoo Gifford and for the past 15 years has been solely focussed on running and hosting transformative, holistic, educational programmes for the empowerment of young people from across the world, designed to bring about lasting inner, social, and environmental change. It is a rather special place with its own herb garden, a Peace Grove with fire-pit and orchards. The Secret Garden includes a labyrinth surrounded by a sacred grove of indigenous trees planted by the Druids.
The rooms are traditional and comfortable, both in the main house and the stone cottages on site. Our sessions are based in the tranquil studio, spreading out to the grounds. The main practice space has a gorgeous panorama of the site, and the evening skies host glorious sunsets.
The centre was specifically designed to include spaces of inspiring, natural beauty for quiet contemplation. Furthermore, it is powered by sustainable energy from a biomass boiler and solar panels.
The Asha in-house retreat chefs will prepare 2 simple organic vegetarian meals per day for lunch and dinner, plus breakfast of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, and organic bread. On your day of arrival there will be lunch and dinner and on your departure day there will be breakfast for our final meal all together. We cater to your individual dietary requirements – simply let us know what you need.
“That was an AMAZING experience! I don’t think I expressed that enough. Everything was outstanding. Shaun and Justine created a safe environment for everyone to let go of our resistance, feel all the feels and embrace change. It unlocked something deep within me and I left feeling transformed and willing to try new things“
Wonderbreath is a form of Conscious Connected Breathwork. Therapeutic in nature, this is a gentle, simple, healing technique that helps you to open up the full potential of your respiratory system for better physical and emotional well-being. It’s been demonstrated to have so many benefits, including deepening your relationship with yourself, increasing energy levels, giving greater emotional clarity, improving your immune response, and increasing your ability to deal with stress in a healthy way. These are powerful group sessions where Justine will guide you through each session, called ‘a detox for every level of your being’ and no experience is necessary.
There are several options for this right near ASHA, but our favourite has to be the water at Saint Anthony’s Well – whose name dates from the medieval period – is known as a holy, or sacred, well. Prehistoric flint implements have been found in the spring’s vicinity as well as Iron Age and Roman artefacts and it seems likely that the well was a ritual site for a long period of time. The spring, which runs into the gardens at ASHA, is reputedly very ancient and in front lies a stone ‘bathing pool’ built by the Romans – three feet of deep, clear, totally unpolluted water. Saint Anthony’s Well water is always extremely cold and for generations, local people have bathed in it for the treatment of rheumatism and arthritis. It’s just a short, five-minute walk to the well from the house, through the forest and lies in an open area of stunning beech trees. So whether you want to dip, or watch, you’re guaranteed a very magical experience.
Forest bathing, a literal translation of the Japanese term Shinrin-yoku, is scientifically proven to improve our health. It means to bathe in the atmosphere of the forest with your five senses to improve your wellbeing. Countless Japanese studies have revealed how it boosts our immune systems, reduces our stress hormones, reduces our blood pressure, enhances our mental wellness and bolsters our brain health. It can provide emotional healing, improve our sleep-wake cycles, improve relationship skills, reduce stress, and reduce feelings of anger and aggression. These gentle introductions to the practice of forest bathing including sensory and meditative exercises, taking time to explore our woodland landscape, tuning in to our micro and macro awareness of nature and noticing how it communicates with us.

Our body is the most immediate tool we have. Working on our bodies not only enables us to become more efficient, but surprisingly, it also teaches us how to have more fun on a daily basis. This, in turn, increases our personal impact on those around us. In this workshop, which ideally runs for 4 hours, but we can reduce down to 2 or 3 hours if time is short, we’ll share simple, powerful and widely proven routines taken from years of working with top-performing artists, to tap into an ideal peak performative state of mind, at will.
• Less judgment + full commitment = your full potential is released
• Habits disappear in order to leave space for efficacy and immediacy
• Games are very serious things. Games push us to do our best and have fun at the same time
Have you ever wondered why dancers and rock stars possess a special charisma? That special something that attracts everyone’s attention? How they perform at their peak every night? And why they have an amazing presence and vitality?
For many years Jorge has worked with dance personalities such as Carlos Acosta and music legend Paul McCartney, amongst others. Now, for the first time, we’re sharing the secret of their vitality to other professionals, who’s careers demand a high level of physical and mental performance.
This workshop combines the energy of high-performing movement with the creativity of performing arts. By capturing the spontaneity and the immense concentration of being in the moment, you’ll be pushed into an enhanced presence of mind.
Day Schedule (4 hours, but can be adjusted to suit your schedule)
Arrival and refreshments (15 mins)
o Welcome and introduction
o Mind/Brain Warm up. Gentle physical tune up.
o Demystification of the act of performing: embodying presence
Break and refreshments (15 mins)
o Games are a serious thing: throwing and catching bottles
o Problem solving in real time: it gets complicated
o The Jackie Chan effect. Switching on and off
Break and refreshments (15 mins)
o Transference to daily life: case study
o Last exercise: the secret of peak performance
o Questions and optional follow up
This workshop is not about teaching dance. It’s about teaching real people with real problems how to embrace life and enjoy every scenario that’s thrown at them. You’ll be amazed at the results.
For four weeks following the initial group session, participants will be given a daily task to implement from what they have experienced during the workshop and incorporate it into their daily life and routines. These tasks will be provided through WhatsApp or email, along with access to a collection of continuing resources.
“Game changer”
“I feel physically activated, mentally focus and ready to fight the right battles”
“Through this experience, I learned the power of motivating and reinvigorating a tired body and I found a new strength for my daily routines”
“The body is great, and so is the mind – it was a liberation!! Thank you so much.”
“No matter the hours of sleep I have one day or no matter how tired I am, the exercises help me to stay focused and fully involved in what I am doing”
“I explored these aspects in very concrete terms and I came to realise that performance has nothing to do with magic, but rather it can be trained and enhanced. “
“It is rare to find classes like yours and more rare to find people like you to inspire other people”
“Once they overcome their preconceived ideas about tree hugging and, more worryingly, the view that work should not be enjoyable, we have consistently achieved great results. Working in this type of environment seems to give people a much more balanced sense of perspective on what is important.” Sony Mobile’s Head of Human Resources

According to the National Science Foundation, an average person has about 12,000 to 60,000 thoughts per day. Of those, 80% are negative and 95% are repetitive thoughts. That leaves a very small window for fresh thinking and creativity.
In this session you will:
In our experience, all team gatherings should include this – a Conscious Connected Breath session, designed to detox and destress your system. This session will reconnect your mind and body and ultimately connect you back to yourself. It will either be held in the camp’s Giant Tipi, outdoors, or possibly even in the woods.

She left her job as a management consultant to publish her first novel Gypsy Masala after it had been rejected. Establishing an ‘international PR agency’ in her bedroom and appointing feisty director ‘Pru’ (an alter ego) to hype her book – (whilst putting on a suit and pretending to go to work – don’t ask!) Preethi got the novel into charts and signed a three-book deal with HarperCollins. Her alter ego ‘Pru’ was short-listed as Publicist of the Year!
Preethi went on to set up Kiss the Frog, a company that fosters storytelling in organisations and is a professor at various business schools, promoting creativity as a key skill for leadership.
Most recently, having never acted before, she wrote, acted and produced her first West End stage play, Sari: The Whole Five Yards, which is currently being adapted for television and she has just completed her fourth novel.
Preethi has spoken at many business conferences but most notably; she delivered the keynote to the Women in Wall Street Conference to 3,000 women. She has also shared a platform with Sir Bob Geldof on “Talking Less and Doing More.”
Justine has always loved working with, and managing, teams of people and has a great admiration for innovation. All this came along in the form of a CEO role for a ground-breaking £2m backed start-up called Unmissable that focussed on experiential travel, working with global brands such as Unilever and PepsiCo, along with some of the best marketing and advertising agencies in the world. It captured a growing thirst for new ideas in the world of travel and experiences. She subsequently went on to set up a similar, B Corp certified business, called The Happy Prize Company.
Shortly after leaving Unmissable, she entered the world of another passion of hers – wellness – setting up wellbeing agency The Life Adventure, which works in the main, with UK government departments to set and improve the wellbeing agenda for government officials. She’s studied with, and learned from, some of the world’s leading masters in yoga, meditation, kinesiology, sustainability, psychotherapy and Shinrin-yoku (Forest Bathing), as well as becoming a certified Conscious Connected Breath coach. She’s a Mental Health First Aider and a Verifier for the Mayor of London’s Healthy Workplace Awards.
She recently became a Non-Exec Director for a community solar farm project in Selsey, West Sussex, and crowd-funded a community project called the Selsey Sea Bathing Society to encourage people of all ages back into the sea.

This session will reconnect your mind and body and ultimately connect you back to yourself. It will either be held in the camp’s Giant Tipi, outdoors, or possibly even in the woods.
Breathwork is a safe and ancient practice, known for its immune system boosting abilities and self-healing powers, allowing you to come out of your busy mind and drop more deeply into your body. There are literally hundreds of breath practices to try and your stay at Kymani will allow you to experience one of these, known as Conscious Connected Breath. In this session you’ll discover a technique that will:
– Help you deal successfully with stress
– Help you sleep better
– Energise and uplift you
– Show you how to engage with your diaphragm – the breathing apparatus you were born with, but forgot about!
– Boost your immune system
– Help you release emotional tension and stress
*Please note Conscious Connected Breathwork is not suitable for those with glaucoma, pregnant (1st trimester only) epilepsy, detached retina, prior strokes or seizures, pior diagnosis by a health professional of bipolar disorder or schizophrenia, psychotic or borderline psychotic states.
Shinrin-yoku means bathing in the forest environment for wellbeing. Humans have spent 99.9% of their development in nature and 0.01% in urban environments. This is a gentle introduction to begin a new relationship with it, including sensory and meditative exercises. In this session we’ll show you how to tune into your micro and macro awareness of nature and notice how it communicates with us. You’ll experience ways to:
– Reduce your stress levels – research has found that leisurely forest walks yield a 12.4 per cent decrease in the stress hormone, cortisol, compared with urban walks. People report better moods and lower anxiety.
– Improve your mood – academics at Derby University have conducted a meta study of existing research which concludes that connecting to nature can be linked to happiness and mental wellbeing. Spending time in nature releases hormones that relate to the pursuit of joy, connecting to calm and avoiding threats.
– Free up your creativity – University of Utah research shows participants saw a 50% improvement in creative problem solving after time immersed in nature with all access to modern technology removed.
– Boost your immune system – trees and plants emit ‘phytoncides’ which we breathe in when we spend time in the forest. These have been proven to enhance the activity of Natural Killer cells that help our bodies fight disease.
These one-hour morning or early evening yoga sessions are infused with mindfulness and personal development elements and are all suitable for beginners as well as more experienced yogis of all ages and abilities. Best done before breakfast at 8am or towards the end of the day when the sun is going down.
Yoga sessions will be held outdoors if the weather is good, if not, it will be held under canvas, in the Giant Tipi) and lasts 1 hour.

We work in a climate that’s volatile, uncertain and complex. It’s also full of exciting possibilities – if you’re willing to take a risk. By developing courage and exercising our risk-taking ‘muscles’, we can begin to adapt to a new way of thinking and working. And by taking even more risks, we’ll start innovating faster and creating positive change within our organisations.
This fun and fast-paced session will help you experiment, learn fast and move forward with greater courage and resilience. The workshop will use singing and conducting to create a practical experience of risk and innovation, of leading and being led through change.
Together, you’ll learn a song in simple harmony. You’ll then have the excitement and challenge of leading an experiment using this song, engaging with constructive critique and being part of a group trying to interpret and respond to change. It’s an exciting challenge.
This hands-on, interactive session will help you:
The session will close with practical actions to help you apply your learning back in the workplace. There are no solos, and you don’t need any musical experience to participate fully!
Praise for previous sessions:
We’re creatives, so our job is all about taking risks and innovating. But that doesn’t mean we always find it easy! Kamala really helped me understand my personal response to risk, and be bolder about the ideas I put into practice. I’m now more confident about trying out ideas faster and with more of a game plan. And I back it up with the breathing exercises to stay calm! Definitely recommended.” Participant, Risk-taking for Change Makers
and another..
The risk session was fantastic, and really different to other sessions I’ve tried. Kamala really knows her stuff, and quickly had us challenging ourselves and doing things we wouldn’t have dared to a few minutes before! The idea of singing was a bit scary to begin with, but it was actually a great leveller. And it really helped us draw on that feeling of “what will people think of me, what if it goes wrong, what if I make a fool of myself” when you try a new idea at work. The directness and honesty of feedback within the group was amazing. Being able to experiment, develop what works and ditch what doesn’t quickly and confidently is such an important skill. I’ve been able to take this learning back to work and share it with my team.” Participant, Risk-taking for Change Makers

“I soon realised that no journey carries one far unless, as it extends into the world around us, it goes an equal distance into the world within.”
Strange Fruit author Lillian Smith
Dream Valley is an alpine playground where business people escape the office, experience nature and have realisations about the things that make their working lives better. This adventure will liberate confined business thinking from the pigeonholed confines of diary, email and office pods. It’s about meetings in snowshoes or hiking boots (depending on the time of year) that will unblock your thinking and enable your team collaborate with each other in new ways. It’s about vision-setting on a mountaintop. Hand shakes on a cliff face. Product launches in a parachute. It’s about clear thinking and big decision-making for the year ahead, about leading through challenging times, understanding how to nourishing the ‘green’ community, learning how to give clear and consistent vision and about being agile.
We’ve created a 2 night itinerary as follows. This is based on travel in the summer – we suggest September as an ideal month for this – and can incorporate/incorporate other mountain activities such as white water rafting and parapenting if desired. The trip can also be bespoked as a snow/winter programme, too, which is just heavenly (but colder) on the senses.
Day 1
Airport transfers from Geneva airport
Wild lunch
Rock climbing
Overnight treehouse
Day 2
Full day hike
Up ladders
Over a high mountain pass
Past lakes and marmottes
Picnic lunch
Overnight and dinner at a mountain refuge
Day 3
Morning Mindfulness with coach Sally-Ann
Hike to Dream Valley
Incredible lunch spread in a stunning 1830’s renovated mountain chalet owned by mindfulness coach Sally-Anne Airey
Electric fat bike tour to the waterfalls at the cirque Fer-a-Cheval
Ride back to Morillon
Dinner in Jack’s treehouse
Airport transfer back to Geneva
The area where you’ll spend these few unforgettable days is the alpine playground of Haute-Savoie, in the French Alps. Neighbouring Chamonix and Morzine have already been defined, but the future of the area of Samoens, where you’ll be based some of the time, is undecided and we believe something very special is going to happen there.
The valley is unspoilt, traditional and free from corporate influence. The landscape is breath-taking and unbeatable for adventure and space – space to breathe, think and connect. It’s a place where people hike, bike, ski, board, snowshoe, paraglide, raft, slide, climb and abseil their way around this beautiful natural park. Those that visit here stay in rustic farmhouses, luxury chalets and remote refuges. Our bespoke trips often include meeting in stone circles, lakeside amphitheatres, beneath waterfalls or in the sanctuary of a hillside dojo.
We tend to work with like-minded souls from small to medium-sized organisations and bring ideas to life that put Dream Valley on the map as a centre for positive energy and change.
The transfer is less than an hour from Geneva Airport.

Your fear of the unknown (which is exactly as it should be). Previous participants have noted the following:
In terms of our preconceptions, the biggest thing was that we didn’t know what to expect. It was revealed to us at each step of the way. We did, however, expect that we’d learn something completely new and that we’d have to push ourselves in some way. We were right!”
As for the rest, that will be for you to figure out along the way.
The mountains are calling, can you hear them?

I’ve got to keep breathing. It’ll be my worst business mistake if I don’t” Steve Martin, Actor
Getting a team out of their present environment (home or office – either way, out from behind a screen) and into the forest. It’s suitable for any team, at any level, within an organisation. The session can be adapted according to level, outlook and challenges. That said, this session can also be run as a 1-1 for one specific person looking for clarity, a mind shift and a greater understanding of how to reconnect with themselves through breathwork.
Forest bathing is scientifically proven to improve health. Countless Japanese studies have revealed how it boosts immune systems, reduces stress hormones, enhances mental wellness and bolsters brain health. It can provide emotional healing, decrease blood pressure, improve general sleep-wake cycles, improve relationship skills, reduces stress and reduce aggression.
Conscious Connected Breathing on the other hand is a powerful and safe way to infuse the body with oxygen and energy, recharging our own (often depleted) systems to work to their healing capacity. It facilitates openings to higher levels of consciousness, allowing us to tap into our deeper resources and live our lives more joyfully with better functioning immune systems and a greater resilience to stress.
The combination of learning to connect more deeply to ourselves, as well as to the natural world is undeniably powerful.
Shinrin-yoku and Connected Breathwork can be used in a number of ways to enhance training and leadership skills. If you are organising an off-site board meeting or away day and there is access to a forest, we can come to that location and hold the session there. These can be used in so many ways, but a few examples include boosting customer and staff engagement in retail stores, as inspiration for the creative industries and by CEOs seeking a breathing space and by individual senior staff members as a powerful personal tool.
Justine, your guide, will facilitate a safe gentle walk, providing instructions — referred to as “invitations” — which are used as ways to open up the senses. We spend so much time using our vision that the other senses often get forgotten and are under utilised. Each walk begins with establishing embodied contact with where you are. Next comes a series of connective invitations, often improvised in the moment and adapted to the needs of the team. These will be followed by wander time with a specific focus and/or sit spot where you’ll then get to experience the power of your own breath. Breathwork is tested and proven by elite performers such as UFC fighters and Navy seals and is now being used by the likes of Google and BCG to enhance the emotional wellbeing and mental performance of their people. You’ll be given a scientific understanding of how your breathing effects you, and how incorporating it into a daily routine will bring immeasurable benefits and rewards. If you’d like to receive some of the many studies now done on the power of breathwork, please get in touch and we can send these to you.
The walk ends with tea made from foraged local plants.
Shinrin-yoku walks are not hikes in the traditional sense. The walk and breath session is typically four hours in duration and often covers no more than a quarter mile distance. In that relatively short distance and time most people experience contact with nature in a much deeper way than they ever have prior to the session. People have a wide range of experiences, some of which they feel are significant, even profound. As a guide, Justine is a CPD-certified Shinrin-yoku practitioner, awarded by the International Society of Nature and Forest Medicine (INFOM) trained in the skills and perspectives needed to be a supportive witness of these experiences. She is also a qualified Conscious Connected Breathwork practitioner.
Four hours is the ideal time you should allow for this experience and it’s ideally run for up to 8 people. It doesn’t matter if you are all from one team or spread amongst a few different departments. The session is based on you coming to Surrey, Kent or Sussex in the forests I work in there. But if you’re short on time, it’s also possible to run a shorter two-hour session. If you’d like us to travel to woods/forest near you, that’s also possible.
Duration and numbers
4 hours for up to 8 people. We can accommodate larger numbers in two groups with 2 facilitators.
Dates
Shinrin-yoku and Connected Breathwork is run on a bespoke basis for organisations, so please get in touch to discuss your needs and for more details.
Anything else to consider?
We suggest wearing comfortable non-restrictive clothing so that you’re relaxed throughout the session. Please check for any Breathwork contraindications here before booking and if you have any questions in relation to this please get in touch to discuss. If there are any concerns, then the safest way is for us to give that participant a different exercise to focus on whilst the breath session is taking place.

Street Wisdom is a global social enterprise with a mission to bring inspiration to every street on earth. It’s a technology that allows you to get unusual inspiration from your everyday surroundings. As fully trained-up Street Wizards, we’ll give you the skills to access the ‘invisible university’ that’s all around you on the streets and help you as individuals, or teams, to find fresh answers to personal or work-related questions – with profound results.
Because they are many and varied. They are free to use. They are where we spend an increasing amount of our metropolitan lives. And they are a rich source of untapped wisdom. It turns out, you don’t need an exotic getaway to find inspiration, it’s right outside your door. And you won’t burn a tonne of fossil fuel getting there.
Street Wisdom is a generally run as a three-hour workshop, although our team will create a bespoke experience for your organisation. Plenty of individuals use Street Wisdom to solve their business problems, now, entire businesses can do the same.
It’s an innovative and sustainable way to:
It’s very simple – that’s because the process has been refined for years.
Tune Up. Quest. Share.
1. First, our street guide helps you and your group tune up your senses so you can pick up much more information from the urban environment that you would normally.
2. Then you’re off on a journey by yourself – your street quest – where you ask a question and see what answers present themselves.
3. Finally, you gather together again to share what happened and, more often than not, wonder at how magical an ordinary street can become when you’re really aware of those hidden messages, chance meetings and unexpected discoveries.
Founder David Pearl is an internationally renowned speaker who specialises in igniting creativity and changing working cultures. With expert facilitators based around the UK, we can work at scale. Our toolkit and bespoke training sessions give in-house facilitators the ability to roll out Street Wisdom within an entire workplace – inspiring whole companies to use the streets as a source of new ideas.
In just three hours of walking and wandering, participants have resolved problems that have dogged them for years, found new business ideas, discovered new directions, and learned how to deal differently with living, learning and loving.
Street Wisdom by The Life Adventure can be run as a group experience booked by an individual on behalf of a group of friends, or for a team within an organisation who may be looking for answers to problems, or to innovate. Ideally, you’ll need a minimum of 10 people, but get in touch here or tweet us to discuss.
It’s such a fascinating experience so if you’d like some further reading on it see this review on Street Wisdom by The Times.
