Kamala is currently developing research with neuroscientists at University College London and Ashridge Business School into resilience, leadership and social intelligence. She is also a trained musician and conductor, and a member of the British Voice Association. In her previous life, Kamala worked in television for 12 years for broadcasters including the BBC, Channel 4, Discovery and Sky. She draws on her experience in both this high octane, fast-paced corporate world and as a performer on stage who must engage in the moment with risk, presence and the authentic voice.
Kamala works with leaders at all stages of their careers, across the private, public and third sectors. She specialises in helping them gain greater self-awareness, take strategic risks, be more courageous, compelling, human and lead change. Using experiential tools including conducting and singing to help people show up as their full selves, she also uses these tools to create a degree of risk and exposure, helping them examine their responses to these conditions back in the workplace. It’s a unique and energising approach that ensures these sessions are insightful, effective and fun.
